| On February 28, 2009 a great person
passed on. A husband is without his mate; a woman mourns the passing of her sister; sons and daughter
are without their mother; and grandchildren are without their grandmother.
Division 44 is without a webmaster. When asked how this website got started, Melody Anderson of the
Kiwanis Club of Amador County responded, “I became Division Secretary & Division Newsletter Editor for
LtG. Ed Gipson in 2001-02 and she agreed to get involved with improving communication within the Division.
We were basically working as a team in our Amador County Club by utilizing e-mail and expanding the use
of computers for communicating between clubs and members. She grabbed the ball and ran
with it!” And ran she did! |

Kiwanis
International has a new motto:
“Serving the
Children of the World”
The “We
Build” motto, written by International Trustee Row Fulkerson, was adopted at the
1920 Convention in Portland, Oregon. “Serving the Children of the World” became
a service slogan after Kiwanis established the Young Children: Priority One
program.
